LVCSD fundraiser for hurricane victims

September 28, 2017 By Team Up 4 Community Leave a Comment

Throughout the Locust Valley Central School District, students and staff have come together to help the victims of recent hurricanes. At the middle school and high school, the student government officers organized a drive for the month of September. Cash donations collected will be given to Island Harvest for distribution to victims.

Teachers at both schools have the option of making a donation for the right to wear jeans on Fridays throughout the month.

Each of the elementary schools held a drive for supplies during the week of Sept. 11. Through the generosity of many families and staff members, batteries, canned goods, cleaning supplies, flashlights and personal hygiene items were among the items collected.

Anyone wishing to donate may send cash or check (made payable to LVCSD) to the high school main office by Sept. 29. For more information, please email Locust Valley High School Assistant Principal Lisa Czerniecki at lczerniecki@lvcsd.k12.ny.us.
